Cold box is a set of high efficiency, adiabatic cold low temperature heat transfer equipment. The function of this system is to remove nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon monoxide and other impurities in argon gas.
It is often used in the process of deep cold separation, such as in the process of deep cold separation of petroleum cracking gas is used in the -100 ~ -140 ℃ work of the cold box. It consists of compact high-efficiency plate heat exchanger and gas-liquid separator. Because of the low temperature is very easy to dissipate cold, the requirements of extremely tight adiabatic cold, so the heat exchanger and separator with adiabatic materials are packaged in a box-shaped object, called the cold box.

The cold box consists of two parts:

One is the huge steel shell insulation box, and the other is the internal core aluminum plate-fin heat exchanger, where the design and manufacturing difficulties are concentrated.
